How to backup and restore in Sharepoint

SharePoint has always offered good backup and restore facilities but the 2010 version provides more versatile options with the option to backup and restore farms as well as web applications and, take granular backups.
1.From your All Programs menu launch Microsoft SharePoint 2010 products 2.Select SharePoint 2010 Central Administration
Ensure that the SharePoint 2010 Timer and SharePoint 2010 Administration windows services are running.
3.On the left menu of the tool, select the Backup and Restore link
Here you will see two sections:  Farm Backup and Restore and Granular Backup
Farm Backup and Restore:  enables the backup of SharePoint farm and web applications for restoration when required.

SharePoint 2010: Open PDF file in browser

To open the PDF file inside the browser window do the following steps:
1)  Go to SharePoint central Admin site. Then under Application Management go to Manage Web Applications. 2) Select the web application where the PDF file needs to be opened in the browser, and click general settings 3) Under Browse file handling give permissive

1)Open the Visual Studio and run as Administrator


2)File → New Project → Installed Templates → SharePoint → 2010 → Sequential Workflow
Give name and Select the Location.
3) Select the site and click next. If you want can give Validate also.
4) Give name of the work flow and select list work flow . Click next...
5) Select the list to associate and click next.

Specify the conditions on which the work flow should work and click Finish

Workflow1.cs[Design] file opens up. In this file drag “sendEmail” from toolbox under sharepoint below onworkflowActicated1 box. The resulting looks like below.




8) Right click sendEmail1 and goto properties. Under properties Find Correlation Token and select workflowToken and OwnerActivityName to Workflow1

9) Find the To properties for sendEmail1 and click on the … Button.
